Mezcal Escorpion® is led by Maestro Mezcalero Douglas French (owner-founder) and Maestras Mezcaleras Elsa Arguelles Sanchez and Erika Aquino Aguilar. French created a seed bank of wild and rare mezcals in 1997 and has nursed, grown, harvested, and replanted these in the nearly 30 years since. This multi-decade sustainable farming effort and slow, meticulous processes from steam cooking to slow, double distillation in pot stills create mezcals of unparalleled purity. Each maguey varietal retains its natural essence and maguey flavor.
